Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang rules out Arsenal, Dortmund not planning sales
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has ruled out leaving Borussia Dortmund for Arsenal as the club announced that there were no plans for any more January sales.
There has recently been renewed speculation that Arsenal are planning a move for Gabon international Aubameyang, who has scored 18 Bundesliga goals this season and was named Africa's Footballer of the Year on Thursday.
Aubameyang -- who previously expressed a desire to play in La Liga in the future -- said he had no plans for an imminent departure.
"Let me say this first: I am not going to Arsenal," he told ESPN FC's Colin Udoh at the CAF award ceremony in Nigeria. "Dortmund is my club and I am not leaving soon."
Aubameyang edged out four-time winner Yaya Toure and Ghana forward Andre Ayew to win the Footballer of the Year award and broke down in tears
"I am not usually an emotional person but to win this award, with players like Yaya and Dede [Ayew], is an important moment for me," he added. "I don't usually cry, but this has made me cry."
Dortmund sporting director Michael Zorc has also said there are no plans for any more departures in the January window after Adnan Januzaj's season-long loan from Manchester United was cancelled.
BVB already sold attacking midfielder Jonas Hofmann to Borussia Monchengladbach this month and Zorc told reporters: "Looking at the numbers, we don't have too many players."
Centre-back Neven Subotic, who has made just two Bundesliga appearances under Thomas Tuchel, had been linked with a move to Liverpool but, while Zorc said "in certain cases" there could yet be further exits, he stressed that there is "nothing planned."

Belgium international Januzaj featured in only 12 matches in all competitions, with his three starts all coming in the Europa League games, and registered three assists but no goals.
Zorc, who was speaking reporters prior to the club's departure to their winter training camp in Dubai, said: "I have to say that it wasn't necessarily satisfying for both sides, and that's why we obliged [in cutting short the loan]."
Earlier this week, Dortmund promoted two 17-year-old youngsters -- Felix Passlack and United States youth international Christian Pulisic -- to train with the first-team squad.
"They are trainees," Zorc said. "They should now get used to the higher level of training."
