Steven Defour 'open to PSV move'

Steven Defour represented Belgium at this summer's World Cup.

Porto midfielder Steven Defour could be tempted by a move to PSV Eindhoven, his agent has said.

Het Laatste Nieuws had already reported that Defour, 26, would be keen to join the Eredivisie side and the Belgium international's agent has now confirmed that is the case.

"PSV are a big club and would certainly be of interest for Steven," Paul Stefani said in De Telegraaf.

PSV technical director Marcel Brands said his club would seek to begin negotiations over Defour in the near future, with Porto set to play a friendly in Venlo on July 16.

Brands said: "His agent will be talking to FC Porto this weekend and that club will soon be coming to the Netherlands for a training camp -- then we will enter discussions."

De Telegraaf reports that Defour, who joined Porto from Standard Liege in 2011, has two years remaining on his contract.
