The 32-year-old, who has been with the Potters for five-and-a-half seasons, is coming to the end of his contract and has not been offered a new deal.

However, Mark Hughes' side have offered a one-year contract extension to 37-year-old goalkeeper Thomas Sorensen.

Defender Andy Wilkinson, whose contract was also set to expire at the end of June, has agreed a new one-year deal with the option of a further 12 months.

Hughes is set to make Hannover's Senegal striker Mame Biram Diouf his second signing of the summer, according to PA Sport, while Stoke have also announced the signing of defender Phil Bardsley on a three-year deal.

The Potters have offered new deals to youngsters James Alabi, Dale Eve, Alex Grant, Jack Nardiello, Ryan O'Reilly, Adam Thomas, Mason Watkins-Clark and Elliot Wheeler.
