Loic Perrin extends St Etienne contract until at least 2020

Loic Perrin looks likely to end his career with St Etienne after committing his future to the club until at least 2020.

Perrin, 31, has represented St Etienne since 2003, making over 300 appearances in all competitions for the Ligue 1 club.

The centre-back has an option in his new deal which could see him assume a non-playing role upon retirement.

A statement on St Etienne's official website on Friday announced the contract extension two days before the club host Nantes at the Stade Geoffroy-Guichard.

"I'm happy to have extended with the club, that was my goal," Perrin told a news conference.

"2020 does not mean an end of career, I want to play as long as possible. I want to win titles, win a lot of things to be even more proud."
