St. Etienne's in-form striker Robert Beric faces a long layoff after surgery on a cruciate knee ligament injury.
The Slovenia international was injured in Nov. 8's feisty Ligue 1 derby against Lyon after a bad tackle by Jordan Ferri, adding to Les Verts' misery as Alexandre Lacazette's hat-trick earned Lyon a 3-0 win.

A statement on the club's website on Monday evening read: "Robert Beric had an operation on Monday morning at the Clinique Mutualiste Chirurgicale in St Etienne, following a rupture of the anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee.
"The operation went well and ASSE wish him a successful recovery."
Beric has scored five goals in 12 appearances this season, including in Ligue 1 wins over Nantes, GFC Ajaccio and Reims.
