Graham Zusi in doubt for Sporting Kansas City's Colorado clash

Sporting Kansas City winger Graham Zusi looks set to miss Saturday's home game against Colorado due to a head injury.

The United States international collided with D.C. United's Bobby Boswell during last weekend's 1-1 draw at RFK Stadium, and SKC manager Peter Vermes has confirmed that the 28-year-old is in doubt for the weekend.

"We've got to be very smart with him," Vermes said. "We've just got to make sure everything's right before we bring him back. So right now, he's very doubtful."

Zusi has endured a stop-start MLS campaign so far this season after missing most of the preseason while he recovered from a stress fracture in his foot, followed by two more missed games in April due to a hamstring strain.

"The thing with him is that he goes balls to the wall all the time," Vermes said. "That's why some of that happens."

Fullback Seth Sinovic also suffered a head clash during the DCU match, but will be available for selection.

"He's fine," Vermes confirmed. "He had absolutely no problems, other than that he had a cut and stitches."
