Barcelona announced they've signed 19-year-old midfielder Carles Alena to a contract extension which increased his buyout clause to €75 million if he's promoted to the first team.
Alena extended his stay with the Camp Nou club for a further three years, with Barcelona holding the option to lengthen his deal two more years if Alena becomes a regular in the senior team.
Alena, who joined the Barcelona academy at age seven, has made four appearance for the senior team thus far, scoring a goal on his debut against Hercules in the Copa del Rey last season.
