Ivan Rakitic, Luis Suarez lead Barca, while Alberto Bueno nets four for Rayo

Ivan Rakitic and Luis Suarez teamed up to play a part in all of Barcelona's goals as they defeated Granada 3-1 on Saturday.

With Granada sitting back at home, it took Barcelona 25 minute to find a breakthrough. Suarez ran out on a breakaway following a Granada corner and his shot was only cleared as far as Rakitic, who tapped home.

The hosts searched for an equaliser after the break, but Rakitic's cross found Suarez to double the advantage three minutes into the second half.

Soon after, Barcelona's Marc Bartra brought down Lass Bangoura in the box, leaving Fran Rico to score a penalty.

But Barcelona regained control when Rakitic again found Suarez, who laid off for Lionel Messi to tap in and seal the victory.

Alberto Bueno scored four goals in the space of 14 minutes to help Rayo Vallecano to a dramatic 4-2 win over Levante in Vallecas.

Victor Casadesus gave the visitors the lead in the 13th minute but Bueno levelled 11 minutes later and almost every time the striker touched the ball for the remainder of the half it ended up in the net.

Bueno, a Real Madrid youth product, started his performance with a header. The attacking midfielder then put in a poor clearance by goalkeeper Diego Marino with his right foot, before slotting in a third goal with his left, and polishing off his own initial shot again with his right boot.

The second half saw far less goalmouth action, but Kalu Uche came off the bench to get a late consolation goal for Levante.

Malaga remained in seventh place after an entertaining 3-2 win over visitors Getafe, who were coached by interim manager Pablo Franco while the club seeks a third coach this season following Quique Sanchez Flores' unexpected resignation.

Malaga's Juanmi Jimenez, Sergi Darder and Ricardo Horta all scored attractive goals to better Alvaro Vazquez's brace for Getafe.

Almeria held on to claim a goalless draw at home to fellow strugglers Deportivo La Coruna after playing most of the second half with 10 men.

Striker Koulossa Thievy was dismissed for second bookable offence in the 55th minute to leave his side a man down for a large part of the game.

However, despite Depor's best efforts, the sides could not be separated thanks to a lack of clinical finishing, meaning the game ended goalless.
