Atletico Madrid booked their spot in the quarterfinals of the Copa del Rey with a 3-0 second-leg victory over Rayo Vallecano.
The sides had drawn the first leg 1-1 but the Primera Division leaders ran out comfortable winners at home.
Angel Correa made the breakthrough five minutes before half-time with a curling right-footed strike from just inside the area, and a late double from Antoine Griezmann completed the victory.
Griezmann netted from close range in the 80th minute and on the counterattack in stoppage time.
Atletico have won 13 of their last 15 games, while conceding only five goals.
Valencia were virtually assured of their last-eight spot after putting four past Granada in the first leg but they kept their foot down in a 3-0 win that earned them a 7-0 aggregate victory.
A 42nd-minute goal from Wilfried Zahibo put the visitors ahead, Paco Alcacer doubled the lead in the 63rd minute and a Pablo Piatti penalty rounded off the scoring.
