Evans Rusike scored the winning goal as SuperSport United ended the 100 percent record of Bidvest Wits this season with a 1-0 Absa Premiership victory at Bidvest Stadium on Saturday.

In a game that did not quite live up to its pre-match billing, Zimbabwean Rusike netted when he pounced on the rebound after former Wits defender Onismor Bhasera saw his shot blocked.

Wits stay top of the table, but have dropped their first points of the campaign and showed little of the energy and zip that had been evident in their performances so far this season.

Black Leopards surrendered a late lead at Chippa United, who were on course for a third defeat of the season before Botswana international Thatayaone Kgamanyane popped up to claim a last-gasp point for the Eastern Cape side, their first of the campaign.

Khuliso Mudau had put the visitors ahead early, but stalwart Chippa forward Andile Mbenyane equalised shortly afterwards.

Newly-promoted Leopards looked as though they would go on to claim the win when Lesotho international forward Tumelo Khutlang scored on debut for Lidoda Duvha.

But Kgamanyane headed a vital goal for the home side late on that will ease the pressure a little on Chippa coach Dan Malesela.

Cape Town City coach Benni McCarthy was left frustrated by his side's inability to break down a gutsy Golden Arrows team as they played to a 0-0 draw at Cape Town Stadium.

The home side had the lion's share of possession, but they could not find the right final ball and tested visiting goalkeeper Nkosi Gumede little.

In fact, Arrows came closest to scoring when Sibusiso Conco thundered a shot against the crossbar and Danny Venter missed a sitter from six-yards late on.

Both sides have started the season with four points from three games and Arrows will be much the happier with that tally.

Polokwane City secured their first points of the season with a 2-0 success against Baroka FC in the Limpopo Derby at Peter Mokaba Stadium.

After opening with two defeats, the victory takes the pressure off City's Serbian coach Jozef Vukusic. Zimbabwean Walter Musona and veteran midfielder Jabu Maluleke netted for the home side.
