Layun: Beckham's Inter Miami my ideal choice for next move

The Mexico international said that he wants to follow former teammate Rodolfo Pizarro to Miami, who joined as the club's second Designated Player in February.

"I would like to play for Inter Miami because David Beckham is there. I'm his fan and I would like to meet him and be able to share with him," Layun said on Instagram.

Inter Miami lost their opening two games in MLS before the league was suspended until at least May 10.

The former Watford and FC Porto defender also said that wants to end his playing career in either Monterrey or former club Club America, but he is yet to decide.

"It scared me [made me dread or whatever] to think about retirement. I am 31, I am going to be 32 years old, and I am in the final stretch of my career," he added.

"I have really enjoyed my career, but I'm not sure what I am going to do and I have always been a hard-headed about that, I always have in mind where I want to go and that [not knowing what I'm going to do] caused me stress.

"I would like to retire in Monterrey or at America. They are the only two places I want to dream that I am going to retire, but I do not know, maybe life still takes me to a different place."
