The Seattle Sounders have signed former Minnesota United midfielder Miguel Ibarra, the defending MLS Cup champions announced on Thursday. "His skillset gives us another good option in the attack as we prepare to start the 2020 campaign." Ibarra had recently been on trial with Seattle and will be immediately eligible to participate in the club's CONCACAF Champions League round-of-16 first leg at CD Olimpia on Thursday night. Ibarra, who has also had a stint with Mexican side Leon in his career, scored 11 goals and provided 14 assists in 84 MLS games. He has been capped three times by the United States, with his most recent appearance coming in a 2-0 friendly victory over Mexico in April of 2015.
