Tottenham want £15m for Vincent Janssen amid MLS, China links - sources

Tottenham are looking for around £15 million for wantaway striker Vincent Janssen, who has attracted tentative interest from clubs in MLS, China and Europe, sources have told ESPN FC.

Janssen, who last played for Spurs in August 2017, underwent foot surgery in the summer but is now fully fit and has recently played in three Under-23 matches, including two in the past week where he has scored one goal and provided two assists.

Despite Tottenham's dearth of attacking options, with Harry Kane and Dele Alli in the treatment room and Son Heung-min away at the Asian Cup, manager Mauricio Pochettino has made it clear that 24-year-old Janssen will not be recalled to the first team, stating simply: "He is not in my plans."

Janssen, who has scored six goals in 39 appearances for Tottenham, spent last season on loan with Fenerbahce. But sources have told ESPN FC that he now wants a permanent move away and is open to all offers.

Spurs, meanwhile, are aiming to recoup around £15m of the £17m they spent when they signed the Netherlands international from AZ Alkmaar in July 2016.
