Paris Saint-Germain to sign Bayern Munich's Juan Bernat - source

Paris Saint-Germain will sign left-back Juan Bernat from Bayern Munich, a source close to the deal has told ESPN FC.

French champions PSG turned their attention to Bernat, 25, after being unwilling to meet Atletico Madrid's demands for 33-year-old Filipe Luis.

The Spain international is set to sign a three-year contract at the Parc des Princes and the source said he will cost around €15 million -- the maximum amount set aside by PSG sporting director Antero Henrique to fill the left-back role.

PSG's move for Bernat keeps the possibility of signing a midfielder within UEFA's financial fair play (FFP) limits before Friday's deadline alive, the source said.

In July, Henrique spoke to Bayern about midfielder Renato Sanches and was told a move could be possible.

PSG have since looked at other targets, notably Celta Vigo's Stanislav Lobotka, but the source said Sanches could prove the easiest deal to do as well as being the most cost effective.

Meanwhile, goalkeeper Kevin Trapp could join Nice on loan, with negotiations between the clubs continuing, while it is reported in Germany that Eintracht Frankfurt is a possible destination.
