Toby Alderweireld will return to preseason training with Tottenham as speculation grows regarding his future in north London.
The Belgium international has not agreed a new deal with the club, with a clause in his contract stating he can leave for £25 million before the last two weeks of next year's summer transfer window if they activate a contract extension.
However, despite links with Manchester United, Alderweireld insists he is focusing on the new season as a Spurs player.
"This weekend I am just going back to London because then the preparation starts at my club," he told HLN Sport. "I have been working on my condition for a while because I want to be as fit as I can be."
Alderweireld will report back for training alongside eight of his fellow World Cup semifinalists and winning captain Hugo Lloris.
Tottenham end their preseason with a trip to La Liga side Girona on Saturday, before facing Newcastle in their Premier League opener on Aug. 11.
