Nice yet to receive Mario Balotelli offer from Marseille - president

Nice have not received any offers for striker Mario Balotelli as he continues to push for a move away from the club.

Balotelli has not reported for preseason training under new coach Patrick Vieira, who arrived last month from New York City FC, with his future at the club likely to be short-lived.

He was at Marseille's training ground last weekend to try to push the deal forward, but Nice president Jean-Pierre Rivere told Infosport+ no club has yet backed up their interest in Balotelli with a formal offer.

"I think it won't be long until we're contacted. For the moment, we haven't been. Marseille called me a fortnight ago to tell me, 'So, is it possible?' I replied, 'No problem, yes, he can leave.' Now we have to talk about the terms.

"I'm waiting for Marseille to call. ... For the moment, honestly, I haven't got any offers on my desk concerning Mario. It could happen. I don't think there are a lot of other candidates."

Balotelli's agent, Mino Raiola, suggested last season his big-name client would be "a bargain" this summer, but Rivere has always stated his player would not leave on a free transfer.
