Tottenham among Premier League clubs who want Nice's Alassane Plea - sources

Tottenham are among four Premier League clubs chasing Nice striker Alassane Plea, sources close to the French club have told ESPN FC.

Tottenham, West Ham, Newcastle and Fulham have all expressed an interest in Plea and sources said two of the four clubs have tabled offers for the former France under-21 international.

Plea enjoyed a fantastic campaign for Nice last season, scoring 21 goals and providing six assists, bringing him to the attention of a number of clubs across Europe.

The 25-year-old has previously admitted he planned to leave Nice this summer and the French club will reluctantly consider offers for the forward.

Tottenham have been keeping tabs on Plea for some time as Mauricio Pochettino wants to ease the goal scoring burden on Harry Kane.

Newcastle boss Rafa Benitez has made a new striker one of his top priorities this summer, while new West Ham manager Manuel Pellegrini is looking to bolster his attacking options at the London Stadium.

Fulham are keen to bring in a proven goal scorer as they plan for life in the Premier League and Plea figures highly on their wanted list.

Nice are weighing up the offers for Plea with the club holding out for the highest bidders before sanctioning a move for the striker.
