No Liverpool offer for Roma goalkeeper Alisson - Monchi

Roma sporting director Monchi has said the club have not received an offer for goalkeeper Alisson amid continuing speculation linking him with Liverpool.

Talk that Liverpool will move for Brazil international Alisson has increased since the errors made by Loris Karius in the Champions League final but Monchi said the player's future lies in Rome, where he is under contract until 2021.

"To sell a player, you need three components -- an offer, an offer which is accepted and the desire of the lad to change clubs, and we have none of these components," Gazzetta dello Sport reported Monchi as saying.

"So, for me, Alisson is staying with us since we are all delighted with him and he wants to stay in Rome."

Until Roma's Champions League semifinal, Alisson did not concede a goal in the competition at the Stadio Olimpico and also kept 17 clean sheets in 37 Serie A games, conceding only 28 goals.

Speaking at a news conference while on international duty, Alisson said he would think about his future after the World Cup and added that his agents were "dealing with off-field matters."

He also voiced sympathy for Karius, saying: "I was really hurt for those two incidents. When we goalkeepers see our colleagues make mistakes, we suffer with them.

"But life goes on. It happens -- it's part of football. Karius has got to lift himself up and be proud that he was in the final. It didn't go as he would have dreamed, but we all make mistakes. You need to train a lot to ensure it doesn't happen."

Meanwhile, Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas has said he has no meeting scheduled with Liverpool over the potential transfer of forward Nabil Fekir.

Fekir, 24, shone for France in their pre-World Cup friendly against Republic of Ireland, scoring the second goal in a 2-0 win in Paris, and denied on Sunday that he was close to a move to Liverpool.

"We will listen to him closely," Aulas said on Monday. "We will know more after the World Cup. But for the moment, he's a Lyon player and we're very proud of that.

"I don't have a meeting planned with Liverpool's directors. There's no urgency at all. We're perfectly calm.

"If Nabil wants to play in the Champions League at [Lyon's] Groupama Stadium next season, we'll be delighted."
