Javier Hernandez eyeing West Ham exit after one season - sources

Javier Hernandez is ready to leave West Ham United this summer with his representatives already looking at prospective new clubs, sources have told ESPN FC.

Hernandez, 29, joined West Ham last summer from Bayer Leverkusen but has struggled to make the desired impact at the London Stadium.

Sources said West Ham are open to the idea of listening to offers for Hernandez, as long as they are able to recoup most of the £16 million fee they paid for "Chicharito."

Clubs from Major League Soccer, China and Turkey are all watching the Mexico international, who is likely to feature at the World Cup this summer, and could offer him an escape as he looks to play on a more regular basis.

Hernandez, who has scored eight league goals, has made 28 appearances in the Premier League, including 16 starts, but began the last five games on the bench in West Ham's fight for survival from relegation.

The former Manchester United forward considered leaving West Ham in January but opted to remain in London until the end of the season.
