Schalke's Leon Goretzka hasn't agreed Bayern Munich move - agent

Leon Goretzka's agent has denied reports in Spain and Germany that the Schalke midfielder has agreed to join Bayern Munich when his contract expires in the summer.

On New Year's Eve, Marca and Sport Bild reported that the 22-year-old Germany international, who has also been linked with Real Madrid, Barcelona and Liverpool in recent weeks, has opted to join Bayern at the end of the season.

However, agent Jorg Neubauer told Sport 1: "When a decision has been made, Leon and I will first inform Schalke."

Schalke CEO Christian Heidel, meanwhile, said the club remains in the dark over Goretzka, who had said in mid-December that he was nearing a decision on his future.

"Leon has yet to inform us that he has decided for a move, and I trust Leon and his agent, with whom I only had contact yesterday," Heidel told Sport 1.

Schalke have reportedly made their star player an offer that could earn him an annual salary of €12 million including all add-ons.

Meanwhile, Bayern captain Manuel Neuer has put away his crutches for the first time following surgery in September.

The 31-year-old goalkeeper used his Instagram account to document a training session on an anti-gravity treadmill that allows the keeper to train without putting too much weight on the foot he fractured three times within a couple of months in 2017.

However, there was less positive news for midfielder Thiago Alcantara, who will not join the team when they head to Qatar for their winter training camp on Tuesday.

The Spain international sustained a muscle injury to his thigh in late November, and has yet to resume training.
