Emil Forsberg concentrating on RB Leipzig amid Man United reports

Emil Forsberg has said his focus remains on RB Leipzig amid reports Manchester United coach Jose Mourinho has added him to his list of potential signings.

Forsberg was watched by Mourinho in Sweden's 1-0 win against Italy on Friday, and reports later emerged in the British and German media that the United boss was impressed with his performance.

With the 26-year-old represented by Victor Lindelof's agent, Hasan Cetinkaya, and United looking to reinforce their midfield, the reports suggested that it "was highly likely" the Premier League club will make a move for Forsberg, who is under contract at Leipzig until 2022.

"I also read that in the papers," Forsberg told Bild about Mourinho's visit to Sweden, but added that currently "my focus is on RB."

After being one of the key players in Sweden's 1-0 win on Friday, Forsberg helped his nation to a goalless draw in the second leg of their playoff with Italy on Monday to secure World Cup qualification.

"Nobody thought we were capable of this," Forsberg said. "The group was already difficult. France and Netherlands are two really good teams. They said we ran out of luck after the playoffs draw, but we made it despite all that.

"I believe that we wanted the ticket [to Russia] by all means, and we played as a team believing in its chance. It's a dream come true. There is no bigger or better competition. The best players in the world are there and we are part of it."
