PSG, Juan Foyth 'need to work out a contract' - Estudiantes chief

PARIS -- Estudiantes vice-president Osvaldo has reiterated that there is an agreement in place for defender Juan Foyth to move to Paris Saint-Germain but confirmed that a contract has still not been agreed.

Chairman of the Argentinian club, Juan Sebastian Veron, confirmed at the end of last month that a fee in excess of €10 million has been agreed with PSG for the Argentina Under-20 international and that his representatives need to strike a contractual deal.

Osvaldo said that remains the case after telling Somos Deporte "there is an agreement with PSG for Foyth," but that "they need to work out a contract."

PSG had looked set to beat Tottenham Hotspur to the 19-year-old Foyth but now it looks like Mauricio Pochettino's men are back in the hunt.

The issue that has so far prevented either European club from signing him is that his two representatives have been dealing with different clubs.

PSG's move for Foyth has been aided by Javier Pastore's agent Marcelo Simonian, while Daniel Bolotnicoff -- who mainly looks after the youngster's interests -- has had more luck negotiating with Spurs.

The French capital outfit have an agreement with the club but not the player, while the English Premier League side have one with the player but not the club.

Both PSG and Spurs could end up missing out on Foyth this summer as the transfer window enters its final fortnight of action.
