Manchester United loan Cameron Borthwick-Jackson to Leeds United

Manchester United defender Cameron Borthwick-Jackson has joined Leeds United on loan.

Borthwick-Jackson, 20, will spend next season at Elland Road after turning down interest from a host of Championship clubs and Dutch giants Ajax.

He endured a frustrating loan spell at Wolves last season, only making six league appearances before returning to play for United's under-23s during the second half of the campaign.

Sources have told ESPN FC the left-back has picked Leeds in the belief it offers him the best chance to play regular first-team football.

Borthwick-Jackson made 14 senior appearances for United in his breakthrough season under Louis van Gaal in 2015-16. He is yet to play a first-team game under Van Gaal's replacement, Jose Mourinho.

He signed a long-term contract in May 2016 that will keep him at Old Trafford until at least 2020.
