Patrik Schick to Juventus 'basically a done deal' - Sampdoria chief Ferrero

Sampdoria president Massimo Ferrero says he expects Patrik Schick to sign for Juventus this summer.

The Czech Republic under-21 forward is reportedly on the shopping list of a number of Italian clubs, including Juve and Inter Milan, but Ferrero says the player has already made his mind up and wants to go to Turin.

"I think so," Ferrero told Radio Due. "We are currently exchanging documents. The player wants to join Juventus, so it's basically a done deal."

Ferrero did not say whether the Bianconeri would accommodate his wishes by allowing Schick, who is currently on international duty at the European Under-21 Championship in Poland, to remain in Genoa on loan for next season.

The 21-year-old scored 11 goals for Sampdoria in Serie A last season, adding a further two in three Coppa Italia appearances. He joined Samp from Sparta Prague for €4 million just a year ago, signing a four-year contract at the time and is now valued at almost €25m.
