Lyon will 'go mad' to keep Alexandre Lacazette - Jean-Michel Aulas

Lyon are ready to "go a bit mad" in an effort to keep forward Alexandre Lacazette, president Jean-Michel Aulas has told Telefoot.

Liverpool and Arsenal have been strongly linked with Lacazette, 25, who earlier this season said he felt "the right moment" had come to leave the club where he came through the youth ranks.

Aulas, who turned down a bid for Lacazette from Arsenal last summer, had suggested in February that he would not stand in the player's way if a major club met Lyon's asking price.

But he said: "We're ready to go a bit mad and do things we've never done to keep Alexandre Lacazette.

"The club is good, the club has invested in all the structures that will allow it to get back among Europe's top 10 clubs.

"Of course we'll have to listen to Alexandre, because he's a man and a great player."

Lacazette, who is under contract with Lyon until 2019, has scored 24 goals in 27 league starts this season.
