Schalke's Sead Kolasinac links to Manchester City are 'nonsense' - agent

Sead Kolasinac has not held talks with Manchester City, the Schalke left-back's agent has told Reviersport, amid reports he could join the Premier League side on a free transfer.

Kolasinac, 23, is out of contract in the summer and has yet to agree a new deal at the Veltins Arena.

Schalke confirmed they dismissed an enquiry from Chelsea during the January transfer window, while Kolasinac has also been linked with several top European clubs including AC Milan, Juventus, Liverpool, Chelsea and Tottenham.

In February, the Kolasinac camp announced that the player "will make a decision soon," but a month later his future is still undecided.

On Thursday, Bild said that his agent, Gordon Stipic, held talks with Manchester City earlier this week, a report which has since been rejected by Stipic.

"That's nonsense. There have been no talks with Pep Guardiola," Stipic said, and added that they remain in "professional talks" with Schalke over a possible new contract at the Veltins Arena.

Earlier this week, Schalke sporting executive Christian Heidel already told reporters that he "does not believe that time is running against us."
