Watford striker Odion Ighalo completes move to Changchun Yatai

Watford striker Odion Ighalo has signed for Chinese Super League club Changchun Yatai.

Ighalo, 27, scored 39 goals in 100 appearances since moving to the club from Granada on an initial loan move in July 2014.

Sources told ESPN FC that the Nigeria international was in talks, and the striker has now signed for the Chinese club for a reported £20 million fee.

A statement read: "The Hornets can confirm that Odion Ighalo has agreed a permanent move to Changchun Yatai.... All at Watford FC thank Odion for his contributions to the club, and wish him the best of luck for his future career."

Watford are happy to cash in on Ighalo having brought in Mauro Zarate from Fiorentina on a permanent deal and M'Baye Niang on loan from AC Milan.

Meanwhile, Birmingham have signed Jerome Sinclair on loan for the remainder of the season.

Sinclair, born in Birmingham, becomes Blues boss Gianfranco Zola's sixth signing during the January transfer window. The 20-year-old has made seven appearances for Watford since moving to Vicarage Road from Liverpool last summer.

Birmingham had been in the market for a striker after finding out that Clayton Donaldson will be out injured for longer than anticipated.

Sinclair told Birmingham's website: "I think it's a really good move for me. Hopefully I can come here and get a lot of game time and help the team progress and develop my game as well. I'm only 20 and I'm still developing as a young player, but hopefully this can be a real kick-on for me and I can score goals and help the team.

"I think I'll learn a lot from Gianfranco Zola in terms of my game and helping me improve and any little tips I can pick up from him is only going to help me."
