Lille complete deals for Anwar El Ghazi, Alonso Junior and Fares Bahlouli

Lille have swooped for three players on deadline day as they look to improve their fortunes in Ligue 1.

Their first signing of the window came with the announcement that Netherlands international Anwar El Ghazi had moved to Stade Pierre-Mauroy.

El Ghazi, who can either play in a lone striker's role or wide, has joined from Ajax on a deal until the summer of 2021.

The transfer fee remains undisclosed, but L'Equipe said the striker has cost around €7 million.

Lille, placed 11th in Ligue 1, have been struggling in attack, scoring only 21 goals in 22 league games, and have been trying to sign El Ghazi throughout the winter window.

El Ghazi said: "My goal is to fight for the club, goals will come later."

The club also announced they had signed Paraguayan international defender Alonso Junior from Cerro Porteno in his homeland on a deal through to 2021, while Fares Bahlouli switches from Ligue 1 leaders Monaco on a three-and-a-half year contract.
