Chelsea's Oscar considering £60m Shanghai SIPG move - source

LONDON -- Oscar is weighing up a £60 million offer from Shanghai SIPG that would make him Chelsea's most lucrative ever sale, a source close to the player has confirmed to ESPN FC.

Chelsea have reportedly accepted an offer for the Brazilian, who has not started a Premier League match since underwhelming in a 2-1 home defeat to Liverpool in September and missed Sunday's victory over West Brom due to illness.

The move to China would see Oscar massively increase his current £90,000-a-week wages and link up with former Chelsea manager Andre Villas-Boas, who was appointed Shanghai SIPG boss in November, as well as fellow Brazilians Hulk and Elkeson.

Back in February it was revealed that Oscar had turned down the chance to move to Jiangsu Suning -- the same Chinese Super League club who signed former Chelsea teammate Ramires for more than £20m in January -- in a deal worth £57m, but the player's reluctance to move has not deterred Shanghai SIPG this time around.

Oscar joined Chelsea from Internacional for £25m in the summer of 2012 and has made 203 appearances for the club in all competitions, scoring 38 goals and winning the Europa League, the Premier League title and the League Cup.

But the 25-year-old has struggled for consistency during much of his time at Stamford Bridge, and has increasingly become viewed as surplus to requirements since Conte's decision to switch to a 3-4-3 formation in late September.

David Luiz currently holds the record for Chelsea's most expensive ever departure when he left Stamford Bridge to join Paris Saint-Germain for £50m in the summer of 2014.
