Tottenham interested in Wilfried Zaha of Crystal Palace for £15m - sources

Tottenham are in talks with Crystal Palace over a £15 million move for Wilfried Zaha, sources have told ESPN FC.

Zaha, 23, first made his name at Palace when he broke into the first team from the academy in 2010, before becoming Sir Alex Ferguson's final signing for Manchester United when he moved to Old Trafford in a £10m deal in January 2013.

The winger -- twice capped by England -- struggled under the Scot's successor at Old Trafford, David Moyes, but has reignited his career since returning to Selhurst Park in August 2014, initially on loan.

Spurs signed midfielder Victor Wanyama and striker Vincent Janssen last month, but the club have since been trying to add a speedy winger to the squad.

They have had extended talks with Marseille about Georges-Kevin Nkoudou and still hope to sign the France Under-21 international, in addition to Zaha, although Clinton Njie -- the Cameroon winger signed from Lyon last summer -- remains in talks with Marseille about moving to the Stade Velodrome in a separate deal.

Speaking on Thursday, Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino refused to comment on individual players, but confirmed the club was working to improve the squad before Wednesday's transfer deadline.

"I'm very happy with my squad," Pochettino told a news conference. "Anything that can happen in the next few days is always welcome. If we can add a good player to the squad to help us have a very good season... it's another situation, another thing that we need to wait for some days to confirm or not if we can add some players.

"We are very focussed on trying to add some players," he added, when asked about the prospect of new contracts for Christian Eriksen and Erik Lamela. "I think we are more focussed now on trying to improve our squad than trying to improve the contracts of our players."
