Everton have 'no interest' in signing Man City's Joe Hart - Ronald Koeman

Everton manager Ronald Koeman says he has "no interest" in signing Manchester City goalkeeper Joe Hart.

The England international had been linked with a move to Goodison Park after City boss Pep Guardiola said he could leave.

But Toffees' boss Koeman told a news conference on Thursday: "There is no interest. We have a game at Stoke on Saturday and that is more important than all the rumours.

"Everybody will see what Everton's squad is when the transfer window ends next week.

"Everybody is trying to make their squads stronger, but I am not a manager who talks about rumours."

Hart made his first appearance of the season in the Champions League playoff second leg win over Steaua Bucharest on Wednesday with reserve keeper Willy Caballero preferred for City's opening three games of the season.

The 1-0 win over Steaua could also be the 29-year-old's last appearance for the club although he remained tight-lipped on his future following the game.

City have since completed the signing of Claudio Bravo from Barcelona for a reported £17 million on a four-year deal and the Chile international could make his debut in the Premier League clash with West Ham United on Sunday.

Hart has until Aug. 31 to find a new club before the transfer window closes.
