Chelsea's Lucas Piazon considering future ahead of another loan spell

Chelsea's Lucas Piazon has told ESPN FC he is weighing up his options as he prepares to go out on loan again this season.

Piazon, who joined Chelsea in 2012 from Sao Paulo, has spent the last four seasons out on loan during his time at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea won the race to sign Piazon ahead of a number of sides, but the Brazilian has made one appearance in the Premier League.

The 22-year-old, who has had spells out on loan at Malaga, Vitesse Anhem, Eintracht Frankfurt and Reading, has spoken to several interested clubs about joining them on loan, but he has yet to decide on his future.

"I am supposed to be going out on loan again and I am waiting to see where I go," Piazon told ESPN FC. "I have not yet decided where I may go out on loan. I have spoken to some clubs about going there, but nothing is 100 percent with anyone and I am just thinking things over."

Piazon is just one of a number of players at Chelsea planning to spend this season away from Stamford Bridge, with over 30 players being loaned out last season because of the oversized squad at Stamford Bridge.

Eight players have already left Chelsea on loan this summer and Piazon has said those players who find themselves in the group to be loaned out try to motivate each other.

"It is a little bit hard to prepare for the season when you know that you are probably not going to play in the first-team," Piazon said.

"We are all planning to go out on loan and we all try to help each other and try to motivate each other. We all train together and stay in the same place so the relationship is good between everyone."

Piazon has said he has no preference where he goes on loan after staying in England with Reading last season, and he feels he has learnt a lot from his spells away from Chelsea.

"Every player wants to experience something different and every club I have been on loan to I have learnt something new," Piazon said.

"The experience of playing in other leagues has helped me and I have no preference where I go on loan. I just want to play and try and do a good job for someone.

"Myself and Chelsea will make a decision where to go and then I will try and make an impact when I get there.

"I always want to play and be in the starting XI and if I can do that score some goals and create some chances I will be happy with that."

The Brazil under-23 international is entering the final two years of his contract at Chelsea, but he said he is not thinking about his long-term future at the club.

"I have two years left on my contract, but I am not thinking about my future at the minute," Piazon added. "I want to go and do well for myself on loan and after that I will have one year left at Chelsea so it is very important for me to do a good job this season.

"If I do well out on loan and they want me to stay I will. After this season we have to decide and we will see what happens."
