Sporting Kansas City defender Erik Palmer-Brown will play on loan with Portuguese giants Porto for the rest of 2016, the MLS club announced on Monday.
Palmer-Brown, 18, played in seven games for Sporting KC last season.
He became the youngest defender to start an MLS game in May 2014, just 24 days after turning 17.

"We feel this is a good move for both Erik and the club," Sporting KC manager Peter Vermes said. "Over the years, we have formed a good relationship with Porto and we see this as a great opportunity to further Erik's development as a player and person."
Palmer-Brown played for the United States at the Under-20 World Cup last summer.
