Marco Verratti agrees new Paris Saint-Germain deal until 2020 - agent

Marco Verratti has agreed a deal to stay at Paris Saint-Germain until "at least 2020," according to his agent.

Italy international Verratti has been one of Ligue 1's star performers since arriving at Parc des Princes from Pescara in 2012.

The 23-year-old, whose contract runs until 2019, has been linked with Chelsea, Barcelona and Bayern Munich, but it appears his immediate future is settled.

"We need to put everything in black and white, but we found an agreement,'' Verratti's agent, Donato Di Campli, told Italian sports daily Corriere dello Sport.

"He will remain long in Paris, at least until 2020. This is already the fourth renewal, it is now demonstrating that he deserves these commitments."

In December, Verratti confirmed that he expected to sign another new deal with the French champions.

He extended his contract last year but has increasingly been linked with other clubs.

Barcelona legend Xavi recently said he would fit in perfectly at the Camp Nou, and Verratti has also cooled speculation linking him with a switch to Real Madrid.

"I'm now at Paris Saint-Germain, and I feel good in Paris," Verratti told Il Centro newspaper in his home town of Pescara.
