Hertha Berlin sign Vedad Ibisevic from Stuttgart

Vedad Ibisevic has left Stuttgart to join Bundesliga rivals Hertha Berlin after two-and-a-half years with the Swabians.

The two clubs have reached an agreement on an undisclosed fee for the Bosnian, who scored 33 goals in 86 Bundesliga outings for Stuttgart.

"I had some great years at Stuttgart, even if we unfortunately did not always get the results we had hoped for," Ibisevic said to vfb.de.

"We agreed that a transfer was the best decision for both parties. I would like to wish Stuttgart and their fans all the best for a successful season."

The 31-year-old had not been considered by new Stuttgart coach Alexander Zorniger for the first three games of the season, all of which ended in defeat.

"We have spent the last few weeks looking for a solution for Vedad together with him," Stuttgart director of sport Robin Dutt said.

"Vedad was an absolute professional on and off the field during his time here.

"We are pleased we have now found such a good solution, and we wish Vedad all the very best for his personal and sporting future."
