Stoke City expect to seal the signing of Real Madrid teenager Sergio Molina this week, sources have told ESPN FC.

As ESPN FC revealed last week, Molina arrived in England for talks and to undergo a medical at the Britannia Stadium.

The defensive midfielder featured for Real's under-19 side last season and caught the eye in the UEFA Youth League, scoring two goals in six appearances.

The 19-year-old has been at the Bernabeu since the age of nine, and Stoke boss Mark Hughes was alerted to his talents by the club's scouts in Spain.

Mark Hughes has been alerted to Molina's talents by his scouts in Spain and sees him as someone who can develop at Stoke.

Molina will become the fourth Spaniard to join the club in recent seasons, following in the footsteps of Marc Muniesa, Bojan Krkic and Joselu.
