Chelsea are on the verge of signing highly rated Brazilian youngster Kenedy from Fluminense, sources have told ESPN FC.
A deal in the region of £6.3 million has been agreed between Chelsea and an investment group which bought the economic rights of Kenedy from Fluminese last week.
The 19-year-old is regarded as one of the brightest talents to emerge from Brazil in recent years having starred for the Brazil under-17 side at the 2013 South America Championship, scoring six goals to finish as his country's top scorer in the tournament.
Manchester United, Juventus and Barcelona have all been linked with an interest in Kenedy, but Chelsea are set to win the race for the skilful winger's signature.
Kenedy broke into the Fluminese first team last year and he has consolidated his place in the side this term, starting up front alongside Brazil international Fred.
Should Chelsea tie up a deal for Kenedy they are hoping to send the teenager out on loan to another Premier League club, but rules on work permits could force them to send the South American out on loan to a club in Europe.
