Europa League winners Sevilla have reached an agreement with AC Milan to sign defender Adil Rami.
Rami, 29, will return to La Liga just 18 months after leaving Valencia, where he played for current Sevilla boss Unai Emery.
The France international was keen to leave the San Siro outfit this summer after making just 18 appearances in Serie A for the Rossoneri in the 2014-15 campaign.

Neither club has announced the fee for Rami's transfer but Marca reported that it is around €3.5 million, despite the fact he had four years left on his contract.
"Sevilla have reached an agreement with AC Milan over the transfer of Adil Rami, pending a medical," Sevilla announced in a statement. "The player will undergo a medical next week once he returns from his holidays. Should everything go as predicted, Rami will sign a contract with Sevilla for four seasons."
Sevilla sporting director Monchi added that he was thrilled to have landed Rami, who was a reported target of Manchester United and Lyon.
"It has been a difficult negotiation considering the quality of the player and the suitors he had," Monchi said on the club's official website. "But our brand has reinforced us. It was a case of being patient. We had to wait to complete the deal. Rami was our first option, our most desired one."
The Bastia-born player made 61 appearances for Valencia after joining Los Che from Lille in January 2011.
Earlier this year, Rami requested to leave the club if coach Filippo Inzaghi remained in charge for another season. The club made a coaching change last month with former Sampdoria boss Sinisa Mihajlovic replacing Inzaghi, yet Rami has still opted to leave the Rossoneri.
Emery coached Rami in the 2011-12 campaign at Valencia before the Spanish tactician left for Spartak Moscow.
"It's not just the fact that Emery knows Rami and that will aid his adaptation, but also that Adil knows his style and how Unai works and this is key," Monchi added.
Sevilla set to lose the team's top scorer Carlos Bacca, with the Colombian forward closing in on a move in the other direction to AC Milan. The Italian giants are prepared to pay his €30 million buyout clause and Monchi said: "In the next few days, Bacca's future will be resolved. [But] We will have a team of the standard required."
