Unai Emery wants to stay at Sevilla after Europa League triumph

Unai Emery has insisted he is happy to remain at Sevilla after guiding the club to back-to-back Europa League wins.

Sevilla saw off Dnipro 3-2 on Wednesday to win Europe's second-tier club competition for the second time in two years, while they have also now lifted the trophy a record four times in total.

Emery was delighted with his side's performance in Warsaw and said he is keen to stay at the club -- who will now play Champions League football next season -- despite having been linked with the Real Madrid and AC Milan jobs.

"Reaching the final was the most important thing and once we did we had to enjoy it. I'm very happy here," he said.

"We wanted this competition a lot, all Sevilla did. There have been a lot of finals, this the latest, against a very physical, strong team. The joy makes the work worthwhile.

"We have always competed with many difficulties. We had to continue working whether the game was in our favour or against us. At half-time we talked and said we had to be calm because we were required to compete in attack and defence. This group deserves it."

Aleix Vidal was equally delighted with the win, while he expressed his wish for Emery to remain in charge of Sevilla.

"We wanted this trophy. I hope Emery stays but I'm not in control of that," Vidal said. "Our opponent came to the final and did things very well. They're a great team but we have demonstrated that we are capable of taking a game forward."

Carlos Bacca was the hero for Sevilla, scoring the 73rd-minute winner -- his second of the game -- after Dnipro had pulled level shortly before half-time.

"I am very happy for the trophy. It was our objective," Bacca said. "I dedicate it to God, all the people of Colombia, my family, my wife. It is something unique.

"I want to enjoy this moment. I helped with two goals but the important thing is the team won the trophy."
