Dundee will be without several players for their League Cup first-round tie with Peterhead.
Former Hibernian captain James McPake is suspended while striker Craig Wighton has tonsillitis.
Defensive pair Gary Irvine and Iain Davidson are both carrying knocks while German duo Luka Tankulic and Thomas Konrad have niggles.
Manager Paul Hartley said: "We've got a few players missing but we still want to send out the strongest team possible."
Peterhead midfielder Dean Cowie was due to return to their line-up after serving a one-game ban but he has gone down with illness and is out of manager Jim McInally's plans.
McInally is looking for his men to build on a fine display in their 3-0 win over Montrose last weekend. He said: "We played some great football in that game especially going forward in the first half. We will need to hit that level again to do anything at Dundee.
"Paul Hartley has Dundee moving up the way and he has built a strong squad so we are very much second favourites to get a win."
