Loy struck early on by fending off a defender before rifling beyond Danny Rogers in the Dumbarton goal.

Mitchel Megginson then cleared a Will Vaulks effort off the line as Falkirk sensed blood, with Vaulks and Alston both going close before...

Hibernian came from behind to register a fifth away win of the season with a 3-1 success at Raith.

The hosts had been under the cosh following a strong Hibs start but they stole into a 40th-minute lead when Barrie McKay fired home from just inside the area.

The response was swift and Alan Stubbs' men were level before the break when Dominique Malonga's cross was bundled home by Jason Cummings for his seventh of the season.

Hibs flexed their muscles after the break and went in front for the first time...

Sean Higgins' injury-time strike earned Cowdenbeath a valuable 2-1 victory at Queen of the South.

Queen's started the match brightly and a stunning strike from John Baird was kept out by an equally impressive diving save from Robbie Thomson.

It was the visitors who took the lead just before half-time as Callum Gallagher kept his cool to slot past Zander Clark.

Higgins was denied by Clark as Cowdenbeath pressed for a second, while at the other end a free-kick from Ian McShane rattled the woodwork.

Scottish Championship leaders Hearts maintained their 100 per cent home record with a routine 2-0 win over lowly Alloa.

The Jambos took the lead in the 16th minute when Jamie Walker found James Keatings and he fired into the bottom corner from the edge of the box.

It was 2-0 just before the half-hour mark with Walker again involved, this time exchanging passes with Callum Paterson, who poked the ball past Alloa goalkeeper Craig McDowall at the near post.

Alloa came close to pulling a goal back four...

Rangers launched Ally McCoist's farewell tour with a comfortable 2-0 win over Livingston at Ibrox.

Fraser Aird rifled his side ahead after 10 minutes before Simon Mensing's own goal 16 minutes from time gave the departing boss some light relief after another week of off-field drama.

It was confirmed on Monday that the 52-year-old had tendered his resignation and was now working his 12-month notice period.

The club's record scorer - who first signed for the Light Blues as a player in 1983 - may be in...
