Samuel Eto'o and Sinisa Mihajlovic over disagreement - Sampdoria

Sampdoria coach Sinisa Mihajlovic and Samuel Eto'o have settled their differences, according to the club's sporting director Carlo Osti.

The two had a disagreement on Monday when Eto'o opted not to turn up for training in the afternoon, angering his boss. Mihajlovic had ordered double training sessions all week in response to a 5-1 Serie A defeat to Torino last weekend -- a game in which the striker made his debut as a substitute.

The former Cameroon international, who joined from Everton during the January transfer window, cited a prior engagement as an excuse not to attend training.

"It was not an argument for the simple reason that it takes two people to argue and he did it all by himself," Mihajlovic told Gazzetta dello Sport on Monday. "I've not seen him since training in the morning, nor have I spoken with him.

"I don't know why he left, nor do I know what the club plans to do about it. The only thing that is certain is that the player did not give me any explanation and I regard that as being seriously disrespectful to me and to the rest of the team."

Eto'o was back in Sampdoria training on Tuesday, where it is understood he was summoned to a meeting involving Mihajlovic and the Genovese club's president Massimo Ferrero.

"It's all OK, all OK," said Osti, the only representative of the club to address the awaiting media after the meeting. "And when I say that everything is OK, then it means that everything is OK."

When asked if the chapter was closed, Osti responded: "Yes, absolutely."

Later on Tuesday, Ferrero was caught by Mediaset television, who awarded him with the golden tapir -- a trophy awarded each night to a celebrity who has hit the headlines in the previous 24 hours.

"Eto'o's done nothing wrong," Ferrero said, preferring to avoid the subject.

Eto'o took part in both training sessions on Tuesday and is due to participate fully on Wednesday as Sampdoria prepare to host Sassuolo on Sunday.
