Fans of Russian Premier League clubs face a round journey of up to 11,000 miles after SKA-Khabarovsk were promoted to the top flight for the first time.
The club -- located around 15 miles from the Chinese border -- secured a place in the top division with victory over Orenburg in a promotion-relegation playoff.

Fans of the league's Moscow clubs face a flight of almost eight hours if they want to watch their teams in action against SKA-Khabarovsk, or they could instead opt for a train journey taking more than five days each way.
But there are longer journeys in what are nominally domestic competitions -- clubs in the Coupe de France can travel more than 10,000 miles each way to host teams based in French-ruled New Caledonia.
