Barcelona are finalising a deal to send Brazilian forward Malcom to Russian club Zenit Saint Petersburg for €40 million that could include €5-10m in add-ons, sources have told ESPN FC.

Spartak Moscow midfielder Ayaz Guliyev has apologised after he was accused of hitting a pedestrian with his car before getting out and attacking him.

Spartak said Guliyev had been driving to training on Wednesday when he "came into a conflict" with a pedestrian.

"On April 10, there was a traffic incident involving Spartak midfielder Ayaz Guliev," a Spartak statement said.

Russian club Lokomotiv Moscow have confirmed the death of 18-year-old player Alexei Lomakin.

Lokomotiv have said they are "shocked by the tragedy" of the midfielder, who played for Lokomotiv's youth team and "details of the tragedy are being cleared up," without providing further details.

Russian media earlier reported that Lomakin's mother had reported him missing.

He had been undergoing medical treatment for an injury sustained last month.

Russian Premier League game played in -25C conditions

The Russian Premier League game between Yenisey and Akhmat Grozny has gone ahead despite temperatures reaching around -25C (-13F) with wind chill factor at the Siberian club's home stadium.

Yenisey had asked for the game at Central Stadium in the city of Krasnoyarsk to be played indoors, as Russian football regulations state that if temperatures are -15C (5F) then teams can refuse to play.
