Martin O'Neill and Roy Keane sign new Republic of Ireland contracts

Republic of Ireland manager Martin O'Neill and assistant Roy Keane have signed new contracts until the end of the 2018 World Cup.

O'Neill, who led Ireland to the round of 16 at Euro 2016, confirmed the deal at a news conference to announce his squad for the World Cup qualifying games against Georgia and Moldova in October.

Ireland are drawn alongside Wales, Austria, Serbia, Georgia and Moldova in Group D and began their campaign with a 2-2 draw in Serbia.

"I have signed a new deal," O'Neill said. "It was never an issue. Roy and the backroom staff have followed suit. We're delighted."

O'Neill has named a 33-man party and included first-time call-ups Falkirk goalkeeper Danny Rogers and Barnsley midfielder Conor Hourihane.
