Real Madrid to face Juventus, Man United and Roma in International Champions Cup

Real Madrid will again face a series of high-profile opponents in the International Champions Cup with games against Juventus and Manchester United, led by former coach Jose Mourinho, during a week in the United States.

The ICC schedule will have Madrid play Manchester United in Miami Gardens, Florida, on July 31, Juventus outside Washington, D.C. on Aug. 4 and Roma outside New York three days later.

Madrid were beaten 3-2 by rivals Barcelona last year, and they also were defeated by Manchester United on penalties and by Manchester City following preseason preparation at the UCLA sports campus.

"This will be the sixth consecutive year in which the Whites take part in the prestigious competition," the club said in a statement. "Since its first edition in the summer of 2013, it has brought together the best clubs from around the globe."

Madrid returned from the U.S. last summer to beat United 2-1 in the UEFA Supercup and hammer Barca 5-1 on aggregate in the Spanish Supercopa.

Having progressed to the Champions League semifinals, Madrid are confident of taking part in the UEFA Supercup in Tallinn, Estonia, on Aug. 15 -- although early disappointments in La Liga and the Copa del Rey exit mean they are unlikely to be involved in the Spanish Supercopa this season.
