Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi among world's 10 highest-paid celebs - Forbes

Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi are two of the world's most successful athletes, but according to Forbes, they also rank among the top 10 of the world's highest-paid celebrities.

Ronaldo, fresh off winning the European Championship with Portugal, is tied for No. 4 overall (and tops among athletes) with TV personality Dr. Phil McGraw in Forbes magazine's Global Celebrity 100.

That ranking comes thanks to $88 million (€79.36m) in earnings between June 2015 and June 2016, combining salary and endorsements. Messi is not far behind at No. 8, at $81.5m (€73.50m).

Overall, singer Taylor Swift tops the list at $170m (€153.31m), followed by boy band One Direction at $110m (€99.20m).

Other highly ranked athletes include LeBron James (No. 11, $77m, €69.44m) and Roger Federer (No. 16, $68m, €61.32m). Kevin Durant and Novak Djokovic are tied at No. 26 at $56m (€50.50m), sharing the ranking with Justin Bieber and Kenny Chesney.
