Iker Casillas wants David De Gea to join him at Real Madrid

Real Madrid goalkeeper Iker Casillas says he wants Manchester United's David De Gea to join him at the Bernabeu next season.

De Gea, 24, has long been linked to a move to Real Madrid as a replacement for Casillas, and the 34-year-old told reporters on Friday that he would not resent Los Blancos if they acquired his heir apparent.

Casillas has been with Real since joining their academy in 1990, but when asked if he would like De Gea to join Real, he said, "Of course I would."

The goalkeeper then declined to comment on the future of Real manager Carlo Ancelotti, who could coach his final game at the Bernabeu on Saturday.

Ancelotti could give a debut to 16-year-old Martin Odegaard after naming him in the squad to face Getafe.

The Norwegian starlet joined Real in January but has yet to appear for the senior squad. He was previously named to the first team against Almeria on April 29, but did not get off the bench.

Real, who are assured of a second-place finish in La Liga, should have room to give Odegaard a run out with Fabio Coentrao, Sami Khedira, Sergio Ramos, Luka Modric and Karim Benzema all out injured.
