Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti believes the Spanish title race would do right down to the wire after the top two contenders both won tricky games on Saturday. Ancelotti's side managed a 3-1 La Liga victory over Malaga at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu on Saturday evening, while Barcelona defeated Valencia 2-0 to maintain their two-point advantage over Los Blancos. "I expect it will be decided in the last game," Ancelotti said. "We want to stay alive in La Liga, and the two teams have difficult games, because now there is so much in play." Real Madrid's win proved to be costly, with Gareth Bale and Luka Modric both picking up serious injury concerns, putting in doubt their participation in Wednesday's Champions League quarterfinal second leg at home to Atletico Madrid Madrid won through goals from Sergio Ramos, James Rodriguez and Cristiano Ronaldo -- who scored his 50th goal in all competitions this season late on, having earlier sent a penalty against a post. Ancelotti praised his team's resilience in picking up the three points in a game in which a series of things went against them. "We had two problems, but the team won even with a thousand difficulties, after missing a penalty," he said. "But we played well. James brought a lot of quality to the team. Isco was not very good in the first half, but he was in the second. But they all sacrificed themselves." Ancelotti said that France centre-forward Karim Benzema, who missed Saturday's game as a precaution over a knee problem, should be fine to face Atletico. "I believe he will be there, because he is improving," the Italian coach said. "We have four days and there is a chance to recover well." Left-back Fabio Coentrao, left out of the match squad against Malaga, was still most likely to play in place of suspended Marcelo on Wednesday, Ancelotti said. "The most likely is Coentrao," he said. "I preferred him to train [today]. He is the first option. Then there are [Alvaro] Arbeloa or Nacho [Fernandez]. Today he did some resistance training, tomorrow strength, on Monday speed and on Tuesday he will be with the team."
