Zinedine Zidane visits Bayern Munich training to learn from Pep Guardiola

Real Madrid Castilla boss Zinedine Zidane is one of seven French coaches currently on a three-day trip to visit the Bayern Munich training facilities and club offices.

Zidane was joined on Monday at a free Bayern training day by Bordeaux's Willy Sagnol and former Bastia boss Claude Makelele -- who are all looking to obtain their UEFA Pro Level Three Licence -- as well as Guy Lacombe, Franck Thivillier, Claude Le Roy and Bernard Diomede.

The seven coaches met up with Bayern CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge at the club offices at Sabener Strasse, while the delegation is set to observe Pep Guardiola's training sessions on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Zidane has made the trip looking to increase his coaching knowledge amid a difficult period as Castilla coach. His side have suffered four straight defeats and fallen to seventh place in Segunda B Group II.

According to AS, while in Munich, Zidane's assistants David Bettoni and Santi Sanchez will take control of Castilla training sessions ahead of Sunday's clash against Las Palmas Atletico.

It is not the first time the Castilla coach has travelled abroad to soak up the training sessions of other coaches -- in December, Zidane travelled to Marseille to see Marcelo Bielsa and has also previously travelled to Lyon to take part in licence procedures.

Meanwhile, at Bayern's training ground, midfielder Javi Martinez continued to work on his comeback, having suffered an anterior cruciate ligament tear in August.

Following the returns of Thiago Alcantara and Philipp Lahm, Martinez is one of only two Bayern players -- the other being Arjen Robben -- currently not available for selection.
